Since New York City is known as “The City That Never Sleeps” the city has a great nightlife and tons of clubs of different culture in which you can visit. Most of the clubs within New York City though are underground and are not really known by the visitors but well known by locals. One of the most well known clubs of New York City is The 40/40 Club owned by the well known Jay-Z.

This all-American sports bar was opened in the summer of 2003 and covers over 12,000 square feet. The 40/40 Club has nothing but pure sports and a great amount of lounge area. The $4,000,000 multi-leveled club includes a 24 foot by 8 foot slate bar, over 10 LCD televisions, a 16 foot wide staircase and more. The club was made into a sports bar and named after the great Barry Bonds who served 40 home runs and 40 base steals in one season. Along the walls you will find an original jersey of Barry Bonds and many other famous baseball players.

The 40/40 Club opens its doors at 5 PM daily and closes at 4 AM. With almost 12 hours of time to spend nightly at The 40/40 Club you can go for many rounds of alcoholic beverages. These do tend to cost a bit here per drink but all major credit card types are accepted.
